Alden Car Show Information
 

The 10th annual Alden Classic Sports Car Show will be held August 9th with a picnic and tour around the lake Saturday August 8th.

2008 Alden Sports Car Show

The week end of the show kicks off with a picnic and a tour around Torch Lake. Two groups of about 15 took advantage of this with Bill Hallandal and Dave Looman leading the processions. The picnic was of Fried Chicken and all of the fixings were enjoyed by about 60 people, some enjoyed it enough previously to bring guests.

This year the 9th annual show was blessed with weather just right for a car show, no rain or storm as last year. There were more than 80 cars that entered the show, the price of gas @ 4.00 held back some of our regular entrants that come upstate for this event.

There was a display in the open area in town of novel outhouses, see samples in the photos.

The Alden Classic Sports Car Show is always on the 2nd Sunday in August, next year it will be held on August 8/9th, 2009.
