Alden Car Show Information
2012 Alden Classic Sports Car Show
The Twin Bay British Car Club announces the feature automobile for the annual
Alden Classic Sports Car Show.
The Triumph Spitfire, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012, has
been selected to be the featured marque for the show, to be held on August 11, 12,
2012 in the picturesque village of Alden, Michigan on the shores of Torch Lake, in Atrim County.
The show is open to all makes and models of sports cars, and feature cars
from Italy, Japan, Germany, England, France, and the USA. Entrants must be factory-produced,
no replicas, hot rods, sedans, or trucks.
We sponsor a picnic and tour around the lake on Saturday afternoon, August 11th, 2012.
The car show begins with registration at 9am on Aug.12th, 2012.
Awards are at 3pm.
Alden is on the shore of beautiful Torch Lake, named the third most beautiful lake in the world by
National Geographic. It's billed as the lake where the
rainbow stores its colors...there are shops and restaurants in the village,
and the show attracts large numbers of visitors and entrants.
The summer months in Northern Michigan are a haven for visitors, so we suggest planning ahead
for lodging and other amenities. There are major resorts
in nearby Traverse City, and casinos, shopping, and excellent dining in the region.
Bring the family, as the area is dotted with lakes, streams, and Lake Michigan beaches are
close by.

The 2011 Alden Classic Sports Car Show was held August 14th.
It was a great day for a sports car show. The weather looked a bit iffy in the AM, but it never rained and the sun came out most of the day. Take a look at the photos below..

2010 Alden Sports Car Show
The 2010 Alden Classic Sports Car Show was a great
show. Our day started with threatening weather and cost us some
participation, but sun and seventy degrees was the order of the day
for the brave who persevered over the poor forecast. There were 68
beautiful sports cars in attendance which enjoyed a perfect day, in
the wonderful little village of Alden Michigan. The Italian marquees
were featured this year and we were treated to some spectacular
examples. The display area was arranged by country this year, with
their national flag prominently displayed at the beginning of each
section. If you didn't make it to the show this year you missed a
fun one and we look forward to seeing you next year. Don
